Off to Georgia-Feb 10

Today was a relaxed Sunday – pancake breakfast on the patio & then for a Sunday drive -even had a ferry ride. Travelled along the coast skipping over to Georgia.  Enjoyed boiled peanuts from a roadside market. They actually were tasty. We walked around the marina of St. Mary’s which was first explored in the mid 16th century. David spotted a guy fishing & found out that live shrimp was the bait of choice.  David says if he lived in Florida he’d need a regular fishing boat, an airboat for swamp riding & an ocean boat!  Enjoyed a great drive back to Jacksonville.

Walked back into the condo to great smell of Laureen’s homemade soup simmering in the crockpot. Here’s the recipe.
